And more efficient, probably. Imagine, one day, you’re a little tired, out of work, troubled because you don’t know how to handle with daily life : work, family, sport, children education, and so long. You’re doing your best but no success and no real achievement. Right. That’s your story, you , me, all. So, in a quiet mindy situation, you stare about the different solutions: change your life, change your sex (!), suicide, bank robbery, kill your boss…Psychoanalysis. Don’t worry, it’s just normal life; normal nowadays life.

You search for a psychiatrist in your neighbourhood, if possible you never saw before, and not too expensive; you start looking in the mirror, but it’s not talking. You know that you’re going to start a deep introspection in you, finding not only what you like to, but, here goes the sense of your history. Knowing you, knowing the “different you”. OK, the sofa is comfortable (proportionaly with cost of sessions !), and you are musing with the voice, spreading your life into white paper sheets, with an voiceless witness; you’re not tired anymore because of this “rest place”; your wife/husband, starts to ask where you go, so often, and becomes suspicious. What happens next ? You probably know less than before, maybe you turn fool, searching and searching, in a spinning wheel situation, maybe now you’re alone, poor, and not cured anymore…No way street.

And you discover, by random walks or with a friend’s sanity, social web…Great. No sofa, no soft voice, no charge (!), but real audience, with lots of opinions and points of view. The human mirror, live, for you, fountain of youth (yours), new life, reborn of what was dead : your ability of reaction. Suddenly, just like thousands of (peace) warriors, come aside, walk with you ; you can even find friends, you would never have met if not. Great. Anything else than spreading your life too, in web pages but main the difference is (yes, the price too !), that no one judges you, everything is like an endless masterpiece, common piece, with everybody’s contribution. Rebuilding you. With conscience, sanity, glory, and pleasure. I personally prefer blogging…There’s no disguise, only good walks, encounters. And if there is any surprise, it raise me up. No troubles anymore, but find time to learn more and more.

Yes, path is long, and sometimes trapped; but no regrets, seeing how communities are developping themselves, each day. You breath is calm, you sleep well, protected by wired angels, guided by your soul. a kind of new internal peace…

You’re worrying with the psychiatrists ? Do not, their last customers are psychiatrists without customers anymore…

On June 5, I went to Diegem, near Brussels, to think tomorrow event, organized by An de Jonghe, CEO of TrendQ, 2.0 consulting and business corporation. An contacted me few months ago, for me to come, to see some people we don’t use to see in others events ; Located at Crowne Plaza, event started, with a short introduction, on day plan, especially, for the short appear of Flemish Minister of Economics, Patricia Ceysens.

Belgium is a little country, like France, but more international I think – is it a consequence of Brussels head of European community ? -, really cordial and warm place.

Day’s started with Geer Conard, IT consulting (5.309 direct first degree connections on LinkedIn, and one of the most famous networker in Belgium) ; demonstration about his now social life, built 3 years, after he formerly hated social networks…then headed for it, by some random meets ; he described the several types of networkers : passive networker, conservative networker, reactive networker, hyperactive networker, proactive networker. Forecast for 2014 : most of through online networking tools…Gave tips from Thomas Power, 10 tips : Collect people, Respect geography, start a club, relax and be yourself, quality vs quantity, listen for links words, make a match, disturb our comfort zone, read new material, manage your reputation
And last “don’t sale anything” : the best tip…the business is done throughout but in another ways…
“networking is giving ; not taking…It may take several years of giving, before receive” ; trust reputation, manage your reputation. I think he understood many things about that matter !

Then Wim de Waele from IBBT spoke about Research center, flamish government into, on ICT broadband between companies and government, mobile television with Gand project (telenet); user experience makes the product (first tip), example with a baby who plays with an Iphone !
Connected devices in 2012 : sensors over 1.000.000.000.000 (computers, appliances/toys, entertainment, industrial/automobile, handhelds…) and future : wearable computing, localisation, machine-to-machine, smart dust,…The next step : user centric apps, the main purpose (think about old people and home care)

Then Patricia Ceysens (ministry economics and ICT) with model of economic development ; Porter model
Factor driven economy, efficiency driven economy, innovation driven economy (corps, international, innovation) ; must develop R&D, innovation in terms of output (vs input), R&D&&Entreprenership (applications for results coming out) ; spoke about Innovation sources : notice 36% come from customers…only 4% from universities ; turn user = problem to user = solution and “users must adopt innovation”

After a short break, Octavio Pitaluga, CEO of TEN, topexecutivesnet (business community) spoke about “Business Network Officer”, a new function in corporations, which may be developed fast ; he his one of the first CNO Chief Network Officer. No way about the number of contacts, matter what you add to yours (value)
“Japanese people are organized as a network” ; and that’s why it’s the second powerful country in the world
success story : importance of trust, basic of relationship…
Ideal profile for this function : higher values, strategic thinker, credibility, challenge-driven, conflict management, human developer, creative&participative,…
Business Network Management : BNM Team, Goals, win-win, partner status, action plan, manage network ; consequences : increase relationship value, higher leverage, wealth creation. “Employees must be aware of BNM process too”

Then started Emeric Ernoult from affinitiz, French CEO about “web 2.0 for business : hype or opportunity ?”
⇨ new marketing/communication channel
⇨ set the goals, mesure (how you spend on classical ways ?) and compare it with 2.0 solutions
⇨ adwords really expensive in big quantities
⇨ 45.000 French lawyers + blogs the best way to be on top of Google = efficiency with blog platform for lawyers (practices, success stories…)
⇨ 850 lawyer’s blogs now, 10.000 posts, 20.000 comments, 75% of the traffic comes from Google !
⇨ ROI : 14 times less expensive than adwords buying

showed us how about social 2.0 solutions for marketing and sales approaches, vs classical ones, can be really less expensive and more efficient.

Sagi Richberg, Vshake, founded GroupGain, a new social shopping community, group aggregation, mercata, mobshop, accompagny ; buyers lower the price by being buying together the same product ; start of “Social Shopping”

In the aim of HR recruiting, Bas Van de Haterd, HR, recruiting, blogging consulting spoke about savinge money for HR recruiting : LinkedIn for nearly free, is high efficiently powerful !
Map your network, define a good profile, use your relationships, get introductions (think about incentives) are tips to succeed in HR recruiting ; don’t be too hurry in your “dates” : try to engage a cool and real relation before asking for business. Not THE question in the first date ; wait , give, share ; then ask ; people want to business with people they like…Talked about Alumni…most of corps forget the employees they fired and don’t want to heard about them anymore ; but the story is another to tell : time and people change…And don’t forget to mix online and offline social networks : according to companies brand behavior’s line…

And Hendrik Deckers, CEO of CIOnet and partner at Ecademy Belgium, presented us a portal for CIO professional networking talked about “Building Niche Networks”, Value of people then is really high, because selected ; niche communities with high level (high attendings too) ; 3 groups of participation, offline and online ; membership, sponsorship and advertising. Purposed a definition of value of network : n x Q x a (numbers x Quality x activity – frequency)

Day’s finished with a flash and pop talk with Sabine Allaeys, from Minifizz, and how she built the young and fashion universe for girls from 14 to 25 years old, on Web and mobile fields. Partnership and fashion world is making the deal with minifizz.

We had traditional “Elevator Pitch” for young startups, making opportunity for a short three minutes hot speak, then headed to break place for a nice cocktail and networking time, with all team.

A nice day with nice people. I will get back for sure, Belgium makes its own 2.0 revolution out there. If  you want to share it, be there !

Leave your old TV device, don’t trust it anymore, as the colour times, and more recently, HD times, there’s a new revolution out there : social voice. I tried therefore, times ago, to demonstrate some changes in TV world, and gave some points of view of what was our holy toy, in such social fields, and I must be right now in front of no way path : what build TV today, in these times with such collaborative initiates ? Is there any time anymore for journalism or are we all, some of them ? what can make the difference between speaks on great major channels, and individual advises, thoughts and comments ?

That it is, the way we arrived now.

Yes it did. The crowd of information, people thoughts, social revolution of ideas, tumbled down all we taught about value circle in TV world. How ?

TV’s interest is about entertainment, information, direct live, and represent anything but having a window on the world, live, without any move from your sofa. But nowadays, and since many years, Web makes it better. Why ?

Because we’re fed up spending too much time, wasting hours in front of TV soaps and nut stuffs, and we find so much infinite possibilities on web, enforced by 2.0 apps, and supported by many communities. God gave us speaking abilities (and writing too). But TV say “no, we don’t need to, just sit down, shut-up, look and listen…”. And web 2.0 gave us the rules booklet to use words.

How did the web lead the main changes on actual TV ?

Before : there was one channel, in black and white, everybody was looking the same things, and no hope for conversation and two ways relation ; a one to all market !

Then, technologies appeared : colors, high definition, digital, sound, time delay and shifting devices ; thousands of channels, for a one to many market, but with broadcast limits : the even new ways of broadcasting (digital terrestrial, satellite, or DSL/cable), can’t lead to the royal state : one to one channel, private channel that I’m the program controler, and decide myself WHAT and WHEN, I’m gonna look.

Now, Web (first tech, then uses) entered the dance, and recently 2.0 fields. What changed ?

1) technology : with DSL access, you can build your own network (friends, pictures, video…), that can be compared to “my web” ; as if the web was divided by numbers of users, and each user could easily create its own ; and the story of Web3.0, leading you to personal networks (beyond personal contents), starts to see some “UG Networks”

2) contents : UGC ; great or bad world…

– great for creation and enrichment of freedom and abilities ; a new field of playing with your neighbours, without knowing him yet, leveraging the individual potentials (musicians, writers…)

– bad for piracy, because, nothing ever belongs to no one ; or must I say, people think they can take, copy everything on their own without paying anything ; some music bands have given up hope of making money with their music, and win money on concerts and shows… ; and you find in several places in dark places on the web, movies that are not on screen yet…especially in DivX form ; who owns what ?

– contents on the web are growing faster than TV ones ; because of costs, probably, and profusion of new 2.0 applications every day, that adds cleverness to others existing yet : feeds, multi-posting, mobile/live (see for example twitterfone, for saving time spent on writing…)

3) use : PC screen (and mobile devices) replaced TV one

– as you can do anything from mobile device (PDA, phones, PC…), you can watch “a kind of TV”, chosing between TV live, Video on Demand, Catchup TV, downloading…Vlog, Blogs and so long ; it’s like the cake is always the same size, but several eaters entered to share it…leading each piece fewer…

– time : we don’t live right now, how we did twenty years ago. “At a time, a use” ; success of recording and time-shifting is growing ; but don’t solve anything in your “part of time”, of entertainment. See a post really fun about it on confused of calcutta’s JP Rangaswami there. When you’re tied within a time, you make your own choices and refuse to be under influence of classical TV ; you make your own, watching social web. Personnay, although I worked on it several years, I understand the escape of time toward the web…Less you have time, more your choice is accurate

4) last but not least, freeness…To get TV contents with value (actual, blockbusters, or live sports…) you paid the high price…And when you already paid the device, the service (VoIP, Web access…), how much money stay in your wallet…?

Welcome to kind UGC’ers, and the infinite land of creation. And for ones who wait for their awards, they can anyway enter in Second Life to get a virtual one…;-)
